Most Obvious Question?

People often ask me,
You think of your self as hopeless romantic,
you write these so called poems,
why there isn't any one in ur life yet,
what you call "the dream girl "...?

I smile and refuse to answer often,
but I thought about it last night,
Why don't I have a girl friend,
whom i can talk, dance and fight.

'People are so melodramatic', I thought
always trying to spice things up,
but this question of 'Not having a Girlfriend'
is really getting on my nerves.

In some time people stopped asking me that
but created another question monster,
'what type of girl you like or what qualities you prefer'
are my friends Wedding contractors or are they just curious to know
I couldn't figure it out so I didn't let this one go.

I will write down my "preferences"
in another poem someday
this time just read these lines
try to smile will you..to what ever it says.

Now that I'm 28 and single
I compare myself to TV or Movie characters
my favorite: Ted Mosby from How I Met Your Mother
or Charlie from My Sassy Girl

Its funny to write like this
it might even look desperate to many of you
yeah I really am waiting for that perfect one
who will understand me
not the way I behave
but the psyche of the life which drives me.
